¿Y si el principia mathematica no se hubiese publicado?

Para muchos, el libro científico más importante de la historia, a saber, Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica, contiene desarrollos avanzados en mecánica y cálculo, al tiempo que incluye otras cosas, como: explica el fenómeno de las mareas y la gravitación, presenta un modelo matemático que explica el movimiento de los cuerpos celestes e introduce las famosas tres leyes del movimiento, que son: inercia, dinámica y acción-reacción. Todo un punto de inflexión en la historia de las ciencias; en otras palabras, un antes de Newton y después de Newton.
Pero su publicación no se llevó a cabo por el camino tradicional. En 1684 Isaac Newton ya era reconocido como el genio del que todos hemos oído hablar, pero – por su carácter hosco– fue propenso a la burla y desprestigio por parte de sus colegas científicos, de modo que era renuente a publicar sus más recientes desarrollos. Por suerte para una buena porción de la humanidad, uno de sus pocos amigos, Edmund Halley, era un ávido matemático y astrónomo que se encontraba enfrascado en un debate sobre el movimiento de los planetas con Robert Hooke, enemigo declarado de Newton, y quien afirmaba –sin pruebas– haber derivado todas las leyes del movimiento planetario.

Approach to the basics and trends in data analysis

This paper presents an approach to the current uses of data analysis, a research task that is necessary to understand the complete panorama of the use of analysis techniques in various sectors of the international market. This document is presented as a proposal to compose a summary of the applications given to these techniques, based on a bibliographic review and the search for material on current cases of application, in order to better understand the use of these techniques in the commercial and governmental context that surrounds us, showing how the use of these resources attends to the problems and their diverse natures, offering a varied range of solutions that enrich the debate and the interest in the value that data can offer.

Central de Cogeneración Makariza - Estudio de Viabilidad Ambiental

This article studies the possibility of electrical energy generation using distributed generator in Makariza Company. According to the demand of heat in this company, the generators used in this study are simultaneous production of electricity and heat. According to the demand of electric, thermal load consumed by the company and the climate of Colombia province and according to the technical specifications of electricity and heat generation technologies in the world, the best technology is selected. Finally, energy saving and environmental pollution will be analyzed. The analysis shows that the use of the system of simultaneous production of electricity and heat in the company helps to save energy and also to reduce environmental pollution.

Robotic Hand Orthosis

The following article focuses on the selection and design of a hand orthosis, a medical device used to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients with hand injuries or disabilities. To achieve an effective recovery, it is essential to take into account the length of each of the phalanges and the maximum angles of the metacarpophalangeal, digital and proximal interphalangeal joints. Additionally, selection of the proper motor for the orthosis should be based on the dynamic and static torques needed to provide the required support and mobility. This article will provide valuable information for medical professionals and patients seeking to improve quality of life after hand injury or disability.

Blockchain and 5G: Implications of a possible application in Colombia

Blockchain and 5G technologies have recently gained prominence, especially in academia and science, due to their wide range of applications. These technologies can transform how individuals and the private sector interact and perform transactions. Likewise, it has the potential to revolutionize different industries when used together. However, there are security and privacy challenges in their use. There are approaches in the literature on the union of these technologies, from applications in smart cities to the connection of smart grids. The methodology used in this work is the case analysis, through the review of existing regulations around these technologies in Colombia and the proposal of a possible application in the city of Medellin using the SIAC-M system. Although there are several advantages, there are privacy and security challenges that need to be studied in detail, especially in the blockchain, which at the national level does not seem to have a clear regulation. On the other hand, coverage in 5G seems limited, which may represent a barrier to the application of this technology.

Propuesta metodológica para la generación de soportes que apoyen la recolección de evidencia digital, en entidades del sector financiero

With the development of this article, a methodology is proposed that supports commercial and business processes for companies in the financial sector, as an alternative to face the high rates of cybercrime reported in recent years, ensuring orderly and articulated execution, among the different dependencies, to mitigate the impacts of an attack, in addition to facilitating the identification and collection of digital evidence for forensic investigation processes in cases in which it is demonstrated that an incident has occurred that violates cybersecurity mechanisms, this is a Currently a dominant need, because due to the social changes resulting from the pandemic, more and more people find themselves in need of resorting to digital infrastructures to access financial services and electronic commerce platforms. Based on the analysis and in accordance with the financial context, a review of documents recovered from digital repositories is carried out to identify the main computer infringements related to the materialization of financial crimes. By way of the scientific impact achieved through this research work, a starting point is established through which it is possible to reinforce the computer security of management systems in companies in the financial sector, complementing it with the generation of supports that can be used as digital evidence in an eventual forensic investigation process, it is also evidenced the need to implement a holistic vision in the processes, which allows an efficient response to IT security needs.
