Through a process of comprehensive documentary review, four main factors contributing to these obstacles were identified. Firstly, the lack of awareness and knowledge about family mediation limits its adoption as a conflict resolution option. Secondly, the scarcity of family mediation programs and services hampers access to this alternative. Thirdly, resistance to change represents a significant obstacle. The deep-rooted preference for traditional methods of conflict resolution and reluctance to actively engage in seeking consensus-based solutions restrict the adoption of mediation as an effective approach. Lastly, limited resources compromise the development and promotion of family mediation. Insufficient budget allocation and a shortage of trained mediators impede the expansion of mediation programs and the provision of accessible services to families. To effectively promote family mediation in Tabasco, these hindering factors need to be addressed through the promotion of awareness and knowledge, increased availability of programs and services, overcoming resistance to change, and ensuring adequate resources.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Opinión Pública https://revistas.cun.edu.co/index.php/opinionpublica/article/view/1014 Continuing teacher education: impact of professional development programmes on teaching practice 2024-11-11T16:37:12-05:00 Jessica León Brito jessicabrit1999@gmail.com Roberto Antonio Montes de Oca Osuna roberto_montesdeoca@hotmail.com
Continuous teacher training plays a crucial role in improving teaching practice. The conclusions highlight the need for personalized and continuous programs that are adapted to the specific needs of teachers, thus promoting more effective and student-centered educational practices.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Opinión Pública https://revistas.cun.edu.co/index.php/opinionpublica/article/view/1036 Transformations and challenges in Latin American educational policies: A review from educational psychology and educational sciences 2025-03-26T00:11:22-05:00 Ginna Tovar Cardozo g.tovar@udla.edu.co
The article “Transformations and challenges in Latin American educational policies: A review from educational psychology and educational sciences” analyzes the main trends in the region during the period 2019-2023. Through a documentary review, five central axes were identified: digitalization, inclusion, teacher training, evaluation, and socio-emotional education. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of digital technologies, but also revealed gaps in access to technological resources, especially in vulnerable areas. Regarding inclusion, progress was observed in the integration of historically marginalized populations, although limitations related to the lack of resources and cultural adaptations persist. Teacher training emerged as a key area, although its impact was uneven due to the lack of monitoring and resources. The evaluation of educational policies gained relevance, but faced challenges in its implementation and standardization. Finally, socio-emotional education was consolidated as a priority, although its integration into the curricula faced obstacles. The article concludes that, although significant progress has been made, structural challenges persist that require comprehensive and sustainable approaches to ensure equitable and quality education in Latin America.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Opinión Pública https://revistas.cun.edu.co/index.php/opinionpublica/article/view/1039 Exploratory Study About the Practice of Sexting in Cuba 2025-04-13T01:24:58-05:00 Antonio Javier Sánchez Martínez ajsanchez@ucf.edu.cu Miguel Alejandro Pérez Egües mapegues@ucf.edu.cu Leticia del Carmen Torres Zerquera lctorres@ucf.edu.cu
The practice of sexting in Cuba begins to be an increasingly visible phenomenon from the growing number of people who access social networks on the Internet. In this way, an exploratory study on practice of sexting was developed.
