Abstract

This article is based on exhaustive research on creation in plastic arts and explores the creative process that gave rise to the Texere work. The meaning of the word Texere come from Latin language texĕre, and translate to form the fabric with the weft and the warp on the loom [RAE]. This work addresses the memory of the body and physical pain as a means to express the excesses of production within the textile industry, which result in physical pathologies. Its objective is to highlight the constant forms of invisibility of the female productive body within said industry. From the conformation of the visual archive and the work Las hilanderas or the fable of Aracné (1655-1660), by Diego Velázquez, the domestic and mythological universe that surrounds the textile praxis is examined. In addition, the synchrony between cinema and television is observed. fashion as temporarily parallel industries, using as reference the documentary "The factory outlet" by the Lumiére brothers in France and "The man with the camera" by Dziga Vertov, which reveals a mutual interaction and reciprocal influence between the two.
