Abstract

The objective of this article is to reflect on the
concept of ecotourism in Colombia and focus
on the development of an editorial proposal
that will complement the mobile application
of ecotourism routes (Rutacol). A descriptive
qualitative methodology will be used to analyze
ecotourism in Colombia and its relationship
with the design of mobile applications, as well
as the particular case of the design of Rutacol.
Through this proposal, an innovative design
concept was created that positively attracts
consumers between 18 and 40 years old, which
served as an incentive to promote lesser-known
places or sites in Colombia. These destinations
are related to activities involving the ecological
field, touristic development, and environmental
conservation, with the aim of boosting the local
economy. The objective is for this proposal to be
a dynamic tool for sustainable economic development
in our territory.
