Abstract
A global problem, the academic field and business environment of the region meet in the musical capital of Colombia, Ibagué, with the aim of raising alternatives to the fast fashion that reigns in society. After joining Fashion Revolution Day as volunteers, they began to use information, communication
and social media technologies to adapt their “Love Stories” strategy. Citizen participation exercises allow the community to observe its own problems from an investigative perspective, find solutions and, with a real work base, impact fashion creation processes. This would make a real
counterweight to fast fashion, as well as extend the life of their products by tying them to stories that drive local shopping.
