Abstract

The article addresses the situation in Western Sahara, from the perspective of Sahrawi women’s contribution to the building and preservation of the Sahrawi society and most recently, their socio-political leadership; mainly highlighted in their participation in the negociation table hosted by UN. It aims to point out the importance of the role these women have in their society, and how their empowerment and instrumentality may contribute to the conflict resolution, without losing focus in the topic of women, since it is one of the most critical and opposed in the annexation of the Western Sahara to Morocco, because of their relevant fights, earnings, empowerment and prospective.
